In Home Physical Therapy
In Home Physical Therapy or Transitional Physical Therapy is an instructional DVD series that was designed to motivate, instruct and encourage users to achieve independent function through improved movement, flexibility and strength. It was created by Dr. Terry L. Whipple and OrthoCareRN (a specialized home health agency) and is firmly rooted in their experience in treating patients for physical therapy needs in their homes.
Dr. Terry L. Whipple and OrthoCareRN have developed a unique experience for patients who have exhausted their physical therapy benefits - through Medicare or private insurances. Transitional Physical Therapy’s goal is to reach the many patients who have had the misfortune of being told that continued therapy would be an out-of-pocket expense.
Many people are forced to weigh an important economic decision - return to full function at a cost or remain debilitated? Not surprisingly, many people never return to therapy and therefore never return to full function.
Who Should Use Transitional Physical Therapy?
In addition to those who have exhausted their physical therapy benefits, the Transitional Physical Therapy DVD series can be used for pre and post-surgical muscle strengthening and conditioning and is a valuable reference for people who suffer from chronic pain and are in need of beneficial exercises. Patients can benefit from muscle strengthening and conditioning prior to reconstructive surgery – aiding in faster recovery and quicker, more mobile function. Transitional Physical Therapy’s advantage allows patients to prepare at home weeks before their surgery. A better-conditioned patient will have a better outcome, meeting everyone’s recovery expectations.
