orthopaedic surgeons, Dr. Romness himself was drawn
to the field because of the upbeat, optimistic nature
of the specialty and its many creative opportunities
in surgery. After graduating with a BS from the University
of Richmond, Dr. Romness earned his medical degree
from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He then completed
his surgical and orthopaedic training at the Mayo
Clinic.
Active in a number of professional medical organizations,
Dr. Romness has been a past president of both the
Virginia and Washington Orthopaedic Societies. He
also stays involved in academia having published
multiple peer review articles and being named a recipient
